Associated NorCal Academy Member Fees - Spring

Level(s) of participation offered within the NorCal Academy

The NorCal Academy offers two level-of-participation options, the Academy and Travel Team programs. Each program is independent of the other and has been created to accommodate members new to the sport, as well as players who are more advanced. The NCA is a Non-Profit Organization. While the costs vary between levels, the structure is straightforward. Factored expenses include; practice sites, equipment, NCA uniform, AAU registration, coaching stipends and applicable tournament amounts.

The Academy Level: $325

The NCA believes in keeping cost at a minimum and maximizing the experience for its members. All participants must register at The Academy level, requiring a club base amount of $325.

This level provides 2 trainings per week over 10 weeks (20 sessions).  Each session is 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Travel Team Level: $675-$825

Fee for selected player:                   $675-$825 (Travel)

These levels (Travel) is an advanced tournament travel team program for select players who will compete in various contests outside of local trainings and beyond skill-set sessions linked to the Academy level. The cost of playing within the NCA will vary with the number and types of tournaments selected. To tryout for a travel team members must complete the travel player assessment registration (no fee required to be assessed for a travel team). If a player is chosen to participate on a travel team the fees will be collected at the beginning of the season.  A pay in full or 3 payment options are available.

Financial Commitment – Participation in The NorCal Academy requires some financial responsibilities, but for the parent of a player who wants the training and experiences associated with competitive basketball, it is both beneficial and well worth the investment.

As mentioned, the NCA teams will be traveling to other cities for tournament competitions, which will sometimes require an overnight stay. Additional expenses will occur depending upon the number of out-of-town tournaments each team decides to enter. The NorCal Academy will use group buying power to reduce these costs whenever possible. However, parents and players will be responsible for all travel expenses. It is strongly suggested that potential travel costs be reviewed at the beginning of the season, and that parents begin to plan for these expenditures as early as possible.  Tournaments that require airfare, hotel, and/or food costs will be the responsibility of the parents of each player. Parents will make their own travel and hotel arrangements. The NorCal Academy will support efforts to provide discount information on airfare and hotels.
